A UDID card is a very unique card to help a person with disabilities. The full form of UIDI is a "unique disability id" card. It is clear from here that this card will help uniquely disabled people. The main purpose of the UDID card is to contain all information and verification in a single document. And also this card contains all the necessary details about the disabled person. so that person can get maximum benefits. This project is initiated by the department of empowerment of person with disabilities. Its aim at building a holistic end-to-end integrated system for the Issuance of Universal ID & Disability Certificates for Person with Disabilities with their identification and disability details.
Let's talk about the benefits of UIDI-
- This card will contain all the necessary details about the person with Disabilities which is can be decoded by the readers. Now no need to make multiple copies of documents or maintain them properly this card capture all information about yourself(person with disabilities).
- This card will be beneficial for the disabled person it is a single document that will help to get benefits in future.
- From the village level, block level, district level, state level this card will help the disabled person in streamlining the tracking of the physical and financial progress of beneficiary at all levels of the hierarchy of implementation.
Who can apply for UDID CARD-
Anyone can apply who has a disability/disabilities. Here is the procedure:
Step 1: Visit UDID Web Portal and click on the register link to Register.
Four types of details are required:
- Personal Details including Address
- Disability Details
- Employment Details
- Identity Details
Step 2: Using PwD logs credentials click on Apply online for Disability Certificate. (Reads instructions and enter the required details).
Step 3: After entering details upload a colour passport photo and other requisite documents. (Identity Proof, Income Proof, SC/ST/OBC proof etc as per requirement)
Step 4: Submit all the data to the CMO Office/Medical Authority for verification.
Step 5: The CMO Office/Medical Authority will verify all your data
Step 6: After verification, the CMO Office/Medical Authority will assign the concerned specialist(s) for assessment.
Step 7: Specialist Doctor assesses disability of PwD and gives an opinion on disability.
Step 8: Medical Board reviews the case and assigns a disability percentage. CMO Office prepares Disability Certificate and generates UDID and Disability Certificate.
Step 9: UDID datasheet goes for UDID Card printing and the UDID card will be delivered by post at the address mentioned during online registration.
Unique Disability ID Card download:–
To download UDID CARD you need a Disability certificate and enrollment number/ UDID number.
Here is the mentioned step by which you can able to download your UDID card.
- Open the UDID website on your computer or android. UDID WEBSITE
- Now click "download your e-disability card & e-UDID card".
- Now on the new page fill in enrollment number/ UDID card number and date of birth then click to log in.
If you don't have a UDID number or enrollment number then click to register.
- On the open new page, you get details about yourself. On this page click on "download your e-disability card" which is in the left corner.
- Now your card will download in PDF format. You can print this pdf and use it as proof.
